I've talked with the folks at OpenCongress.org, which is a very well done site all about getting citizens engaged with Congress, and the plan is to integrate NationBuilder/White House 2 when they are through with their redesign. Right now, Congressmember level priorities are published to HelloCongress.org, but I think it makes sense that this live at OpenCongress.org since there's a ton of other stuff there. So White House 2 and OpenCongress become cousins.

See if you can get the administration to respond to the an idea every week with their position, how and when they will act on it. The idea will be the most popular one each week that they have not responded to in the past.
I realize that this requires the support of the adminstration, but we are asking for only one response per week so perhaps they can see it worth while to allow people to see that their participation is really worthwhile and will be involved.

I think the key to making this work is if people can see that their ideas are adopted by the government.That is why I have suggested that we be able to build the BILLs that support our ideas and that we try to get the administration to respond to at least one idea a week. In that way the people who contribute would see that they were being listened to rather than just typeing into the either.

I think White House 2 would look cleaner and be more attractive to more people there was a simple looking home page with links to the information in the link box at the top of the page. It is visually overwhelming to get on and see a long list of priorities.
